Our early learning programs provide opportunities for discovery and creativity.

Children at Little Angels benefit from best-practice programs that stimulate engagement, excitement and early learning development.

As Early Childhood qualified professionals, we believe it is important to nurture the growth and development of every young child in our care.

Every child comes to us from a different background and therefore has different needs, interests and abilities. The dignity and rights of the child are valued and respected at all times. We aim to promote each child’s positive self-concept enabling them to feel secure and better able to absorb all life’s opportunities.

Children at Little Angels benefit from:

  • Nature Play

Educational environmental program as well as dedicated time and activities in the outdoors

  • Specialist Lessons

Perceptual Motor Program, Music and Peace studies complement the children’s learning opportunities

  • Excursions*

Planned excursions and incursions to provide engagement and learning opportunities within the community

All of these programs are planned into our weekly timetables to ensure children have a balanced approach to learning.

*Age-appropriate

Children experience learning that is engaging and builds success in life. We draw from and connect strongly with the outcome of the Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines.

Active play–based learning is strong at Little Angels. We emphasise children engaging with the environment and each other, and being able to exercise choices which match their interests and capabilities.

Research indicates that the planned and designed environment has a ‘significant impact on cognitive and social developmental behaviours’ and when the environment is resource rich, ‘children engage in activities more on their own and without the need for staff involvement’. This can then enable the educator to observe and plan for those all-important intentional teaching moments. It also promotes the development of the whole child and a love of learning.
